Cecil MacKinnon has worked extensively in New York in downtown theater companies such as the Manhattan Project, Section Ten, the Shaliko Company and the Working Theater and is a senior company member of Shakespeare and Co.  Credits there as an actress include The Tempest, The Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew and The Merry Wives of Windsor.  She directed Love’s Labour’s Lost, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, and The Comedy of Errors for their mainstage and numerous productions on their smaller stages.  Regionally Ms. MacKinnon has appeared at ACT, San Francisco, Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati, and at Trinity Square, Toronto.  Ms. MacKinnon also works in circus, was a member of the Pickle Family Circus, and is now white face clown, ringmaster, and director of Circus Flora’s with whom she tours nationally.  She teaches at The Experimental Theater Wing of NYU.
