Freeing the Executive Voice
We are all born with a three to four octave vocal range that can rise to any occasion, and reach the top tiers of an opera house without artificial amplification. Over time, physical or emotional tension can begin to shape that voice in a way that is restrictive for professionals in a position where communication is key. For many speakers, the tone becomes flat, the vocal range shrinks to just a few notes or even a monotone, and anxiety may inhibit the ability to be fully expressive.
Freeing the Executive Voice is a workshop that helps professionals reduce stress and tensions that affect their speaking, understand the anatomy of the voice in order to access it more freely, and experience what it is to be fully present as a speaker rather than simply a “talking head”.
Our instructors are professional voice coaches with Broadway credits and positions at some of the top acting programs in the country. Among their corporate clients are the members of the Columbia Senior Executive Training Program, run through Columbia University’s School of Business and The World Economic Forum’s Global Fellows Program.
