Physical Presence – Release, Energize, Perform
“It is not the degree of ‘willing’ or ‘trying’, but the way in which the energy is directed, that is going to make the ‘willing’ or ‘trying’ effective.”
Too often as performer, our hapitual body tensions deprive us of an ability to be sensitive and responsive to impulses. Using principles derived from The Alexander Technique and Kinetic Awareness, this class is designed to help actors to identify held tension, and develop a method to free themselves from old patterns. You will learn about your anatomy, how to use Alexander Direction, and how let go of restrictive posture patterns, to form a freer connection to your voice, body, and your inner life as a performer.
