“The first step, then, in freeing your voice, is getting acquainted with your spine and your skeleton.” Kristin Linklater, Freeing the Natural VoiceThis exciting two-day workshop, taught by Feldenkrais® Practitioner Tamala Bakkensen, will focus on body awareness, breathing, and Linklater Voice Work. You will be taken through a series of Feldenkrais Lessons that will bring you to a deeper and clearer understanding of your skeletal/muscular systems and how they directly relate to vocal production. The workshop will consist of exploring your pelvis-spine-jaw connections, unraveling habitual patterns of holding and tension and bringing it all together with voice and text work. As you learn how to use yourself more intelligently, with ease and efficiency, you will discover how to free your body and your voice.
Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat or blanket to lie on.
