Linklater Center is the owner of all information collected on its website and received in the course of business.  Linklater Center will not sell, disseminate, disclose, trade, transmit, transfer, share, lease, or rent any personally identifiable information to any third party not specifically authorized by you, except as we have disclosed in this Privacy Policy, or as may be required by law.

Information that has been collected may be used for purposes that include but are not limited to: processing authorized payment transactions; sending receipts for payments of class and/or workshop fees; disseminating information, class and workshop announcements and newsletters to individuals and organizations via electronic and/or printed communications; responding to inquiries; and maintaining records of inquiries and Linklater Center’s responses to such inquiries.  Information regarding individuals’ and organizations’ names, location, and payments may be provided upon request to Linklater Center’s external accountant to assist in the preparation of Linklater Center’s annual federal and state tax return documents.

A record of your payment for a class or workshop, along with your contact information, is maintained in Linklater Center’s paper and electronic files.  Photocopies of checks are retained indefinitely.

The names of class and workshop participants are provided to those instructors who are teaching that particular class or workshop.  If a participant notifies Linklater Center that he or she wishes to contact an instructor, that instructor will be provided with the participant’s e-mail information to facilitate contact.  Citizens of the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Canada must include in their request to contact an instructor a notice that they are willing to have their e-mail address shared with that instructor.  From time to time, class or workshop participants have requested a class contact sheet.  Linklater Center will contact each participant individually to inquire as to that person’s willingness to have his or her e-mail address shared on a contact sheet, and will only include those participants who have replied in the affirmative.

The names of class and workshop participants, and amounts paid for classes and workshops, is stored in Linklater Center’s accounting software.  Names and contact information of participants and others who are included in Linklater Center’s mailings may be stored in Linklater Center’s Network Solutions e-mail system, as well as in Linklater Center’s Constant Contact account.  If Linklater Center encounters difficulty in processing a payment, Linklater Center may use this information to contact the prospective participant(s).  If a class or workshop participant or mailing list member requests a copy of his or her personal data, Linklater Center will provide such data to the participant in electronic format.  If a class or workshop participant or mailing list member requests that his or her personal data be erased, Linklater Center will comply with such requests when feasible – however such information may need to be preserved in order for Linklater Center to maintain its financial records, and/or to comply with federal and state laws and reporting requirements.  Linklater Center may release information if required to do so by law or if by our sole discretion such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of our website, Linklater Center, our members, other users, and the public.
