Adele Cabot teaches classes, offers private coaching in voice, speech, dialects, and private, individualized warm up before auditions or rehearsals, and works on set.

Adele Cabot became a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher in 1998. She also holds an MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College, CUNY and is now the Founder and Business Manager of her own studio, LAvoiceJOY, LLC, The Voice, Speech, and Acting Connection in Los Angeles where she coaches privately, and teaches ongoing classes in voice, speech, dialects, audition preparation, and more.  www.lavoicejoy.com.

With over 25 years teaching and coaching, Adele also works on-set, recently on the set of Disney’s World of English, in LA, coaching voice, speech, and General American Dialect. She consults on biopics helping actors to find the voice, accent, and speech rhythms of their character. Having worked with thousands of actors, her clients can be seen in theatres, on film, and on television. In 2010 she was named one of the top voice coaches in Los Angeles by Hollywood Weekly.

Adele also works with business professionals, lawyers, and other professionals seeking to improve their vocal abilities and professional power for presentations, speeches, job interviews, and is coaching for TED Talks.

She has served on the faculty at UCLA School of Theatre, Film, & Television; University of Maryland, College Park, and Cal State, Northridge. She was a guest professor in UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and has consulted in other U.S. businesses as well as at Universities and Theatres in the US and Abroad. She appeared as a voice expert on ABC’s Dr. Phil Show in conjunction with their Dr. Phil’s Housewives series. Her review of The King’s Speech appeared in the June 2011 issue of Psychological Perspectives Journal (Jungian thought). Ms. Cabot was The Voice and Speech Consultant at Arena Stage in Washington, DC for 5 years and has taught and coached at Shakespeare’s Globe in London; Shanghai Theatre School, in China; Shakespeare & Company, Lenox, MA; and in L.A. at The Broad Stage, The Kirk Douglas Theatre, A Noise Within, Actor’s Gang, etc.
