SHEILA BANDYOPADHYAY, MA, is an actor, movement specialist and AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique. She has taught movement for the actor and/or Alexander for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Shakespeare & Company, Emerson College, NYU’s Gallatin School, and various theater companies. Sheila teaches Alexander privately and is an assistant faculty member for the Teacher Certification Program at Alexander Technique-New York City under the direction of John Nicholls and Nanette Walsh. Sheila trained in physical theater and classical acting with Dell’Arte International and Shakespeare & Company, respectively. She holds a Master’s in Movement and Physical Performance from NYU. Advanced study in movement for the actor with Susan Dibble, Merry Conway, Sue Lefton. BA: Brandeis University.
