Tamala Bakkensen

Tamala Bakkensen holds an MFA in Acting Performance from UCSD as well as a BFA in acting (minor in music and dance) from Florida International University.  She is a full time staff member at the Feldenkrais Institute of NY where she teaches private functional integration, group awareness through movement classes and workshops.  She also practices at a studio at SUNY Purchase College.  She has taught movement courses for the NY Conservatory and a Linklater/Shakespeare class for the MFA students at Mary Baldwin College as well as acting and public speaking courses at UCSD.  A member of Actor’s Equity, Tamala has performed Off-Broadway, regionally, on tour, and on network television.  She has completed six years of coursework in Linklater Technique and is currently observing and mentoring with Andrea Haring.
