Ruthanna Hooke became a Designated Linklater Teacher in 1993. She is an ordained Episcopal priest, and received her PhD in Theology from Yale University. Her recent book, Transforming Preaching (Church Publishing, 2010), explores the theological and practical implications of the Linklater voice approach for training preachers to more fully embody their proclamation. She teaches voice, performance of Biblical texts, and preaching to seminarians, clergy, and others interested in exploring and experiencing the ways that the freedom of breath and voice can connect us to the sacred.
